The NOS Navigator is a simple and easy to use tool to help you find your way around the National Occupational Standards for the social service sector in Scotland. Eighty per cent of the qualifications (SVQs) in social care, early years and childcare are underpinned by the NOS. Faced with 300+ NOS units, running to around 3000 pages of information, it can be daunting finding what you need. It's certainly not easy finding what you need quickly! When you're busy delivering services you need to be able to access information quickly. We hope NOS Navigator will do just that.
Induction guidance to help employers establish standardised, structured approaches to induction. The SSSC, in collaboration with employers and other stakeholders, developed this national induction framework for all social service staff in Scotland. The framework also contributes to lifelong learning, employee development and the promotion of a learning organisation.
